Equilibria - Cobalt Chloride - Shifting the position of equilibrium by varying concentration    
 

Hydrated cobalt is pink in solution and forms a blue complex containing chloride ions on the addition of chloride ions. This video demonstrates the shift in the position of equilibrium on the addition of water and hydrochloric acid.

  Equilibria - Cobalt Chloride - Shifting the position of equilibrium by varying the temperature      
 

The video shows the shift in position of equilibria with one tube being placed in boiling water whilst the other tube is placed in ice. A control tube at room temperature allows comparison about the position of equilibria at the different temperatures.
