A Reversible Reaction - The Thermal Decomposition of Ammonium Chloride

This video demonstrates the thermal decomposition of ammonium chloride. Upon heating the ammonium chloride breaks down to form Ammonia and Hydrogen Chloride gases. These gases diffuse up to the cooler neck of the tube and combine together to form solid ammonium chloride which is seen as a white precipitate.
